Lately in English class we have been reading Esperanza Rising. We have just got to the part where Esperanza house is burning down and she is taking her doll that she got from her Dad. This is because her Dad died the day before her birthday and that is the last thing she got from him. So now our teacher has asked us to write about things would take if we were in this situation.

I would take my skateboard World Industries skateboard (in my opinion it is the best brand of skateboards in the world).  This is because I love skateboarding because when I go skateboarding it reminds me of my best friend. My friend started my skateboarding career and he thought me to do some trick, such as an Kick Flip. His name was Ethan Bishop. Also he gave me a Teck Deck (mini skateboard) that was also a World Industries and this influenced what type of skateboard I choose. I got my skateboard in the summer holidays in South Africa. I was 13 years old.  My parents gave it to me because I have been asking them for a excellent skateboard like this for the last three years and a half. I am very connected to it and if I lost it I probably never get another one like it. My skateboard has a Gray background then a Devil stick and then on top of that there is the words WORLD INDUSTRIES 1988.

I would also take my camera because it has photos of my family that I have taken, and without the photos I would be very sad. My parents also gave this to me. I was about ten years old when I got it. I got it on a plane Emirates leaving Dubai to go to Paris so I could take photos of the trip. My camera silver with a blue name tag the says James McKnight and an outline of a T-Rex. It has 5.1 mega pixels. The case is dark blue and has a red tag that says the same as the blue one and also has an outline of a T-Rex.

I would also take my Greenstone necklace. I have had it since last Christmas when I was 12. I got it from my Poppa and Nana (grandparents from my Dads side). It is special to me because when ever I where it reminds me of them and why they gave it to me. It is green and has a black string conected to it to put around my neck. So, yes these are three very important things in my life.
